干刷法。遇铜锈或铁锈附着比较浅时，应尽量避免用醋泡等化学手段，而可改用干刷的方法。具体方法是选大号油画笔一枝，将笔头上的棕毛剪离根部0.5-0.7厘米即可使用。先将待刷生锈的铜置于玻璃板上，固定住，握住油画笔根部均匀地刷，要注意用力，否则效果不佳，然后再用清水洗净。

其次是加热时间不宜过长，一般旺火加热三四分钟后，取出用冷湿毛巾捂住，锈便会自然脱落。选择加热法除锈，对象应是铁质尚好且锈蚀比较浅的铁钱，不能把锈蚀严重且铜体已非常脆弱的铜钱用加热法除锈，否则本已十分脆弱的铜体会耐不住高温而支离破碎，粉身碎骨。
